The beard transplantation process begins with a detailed assessment of the patient's needs and expectations. Factors such as the density of the area to be transplanted, the shape and direction of the beard are examined by the doctor. In addition, the donor area (usually the back of the head) is evaluated.
Healthy hair follicles are extracted one by one from the donor area using FUE or DHI techniques. The donor area may need to be shaved during this process.
The extracted follicles are carefully placed in areas where the beard is sparse or absent. When transplanting, it is important to place the follicles in accordance with the natural growth direction. This ensures a natural appearance after transplantation.
After a beard transplant, you may experience slight redness, swelling or scabbing in the transplanted area. This is part of a normal healing process and subsides within a few days. Patients can usually return to their social activities a few days after the procedure.
